The conference event organised annually by our university, which addresses the meaning, importance and historical depth of the Gallipoli Campaigns in a multifaceted manner, aims to establish a strong bridge of awareness between the past and the future. In these scientific gatherings, which primarily address our students and the academic community, leading figures in the field shed light on our historical memory with their knowledge and assessments.

This year, on 18 March 2026, the lecture entitled ‘The Opening of the Çanakkale Front and the 18 March Strait Victory’ by Buğra Terzi, a faculty member at Çanakkale Onsekizmart University, aims to provide participants with a strong sense of historical awareness by thoroughly examining the strategic, military and historical dimensions of this epic struggle that determined the fate of our nation.
