The “Inclusive Libraries” Poster Exhibition and Panel was successfully held on December 19, 2025, at Bartın University Library Conference Hall, organized by the Department of Information and Records Management.

The event began with the opening of a poster exhibition prepared by fourth-year students as part of the course Information Services for Users with Special Needs, supervised by Dr. Nihan Temiz. The exhibition was opened by Bartın University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Aslı Yazıcı.

In the exhibition, students presented library services for special user groups, combining good practice examples from Türkiye and abroad with their own designs. They introduced and discussed their posters directly with participants, turning theoretical knowledge into practical experience.

After the exhibition tour, participation certificates were awarded to the students. The event continued with a panel discussion focusing on inclusive libraries, accessibility, and services for special user groups.

The panel, moderated by Dr. Nihan Temiz, featured speakers from different disciplines who discussed topics such as migration, poverty, gender, accessibility, and learning adaptations in the context of library services. The role of libraries as inclusive, accessible, and supportive spaces was highlighted.

The event concluded with thanks to the university administration, speakers, students, and all participants. Overall, the event contributed to rethinking libraries as more inclusive, fair, and accessible learning spaces for everyone.
