The Centenary of the Republic was presented from different perspectives


In the panel held at Bartın University (BARU), the process from the proclamation of the Republic to today was explained from different perspectives.

A panel titled "Academic Perspective on the Republic in its 100th Year" was organized in cooperation with Bartın Governorship and Bartın University (BARU). The event, organized at Kutlubey Campus within the scope of the Centennial of the Republic Events, attracted great interest from university staff and citizens as well as students.

In the panel moderated by BARU Faculty of Literature Dean Prof. Dr. Birgül Koçak Oksev, evaluations were made by academics who have important studies in different fields.

In the opening speech of the panel, Oksev said, "The foundations of our Republic, which we have entered its centennial year, were laid in the War of Independence. If we can continue our existence as a single nation, it is thanks to our founding leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. I commemorate Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms who pioneered this cause with mercy."

In the panel, Prof. Dr. Yenal Ünal "The Historical Process Leading to the Proclamation of the Republic", Prof. Dr. Zilola Khudaybergenova "Atatürk through the Eyes of Uzbek Turks", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Altay "The Republic's Original Public Library Model: Halkevi Libraries (1932-1951)", Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berna Fildiş "Peyami Safa's Perspective on the Early Republican Period as an Ottoman and Republican Intellectual" and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haluk Öner "The Image of the Intellectual in the Republican Period and Its Reflections on Literature".

The event, where mutual questions and answers were received, ended after the family photo taken in memory of the day.
